This week, the children were delighted to welcome Guy a volunteer of the SARA (Severn Area Rescue Association) team to nursery to help us learn all about the important work they do to keep people safe in and around the water.

To continue with our 'People Who Help Us' topic, the children enjoyed a very special visit from Paramedic Martin, who came to teach us all about the important role paramedics play in helping people during emergencies.

To kick off our 'People Who Help Us' topic, we were delighted to welcome Firefighter Gareth to visit us this morning.

It is that time of year again when we say goodbye to our school leavers.

Wow, what a fantastic month June has been at nursery! We’ve made the most of the warmer weather, enjoyed plenty of outdoor play, and even successfully navigated a heatwave. Thankfully, the sunshine complemented our exciting themes of Under the Sea and Pirates, providing the perfect opportunity for lots of water play, outdoor exploration, and imaginative adventures.

We had the pleasure of being invited to Overbury C of E First School to take part in their lovely Maypole dancing tradition.

We’ve had a very busy and exciting couple of weeks at nursery, full of wonderful opportunities for the children to observe and learn about life cycles and minibeasts.

Today at nursery we celebrated the 100th birthday of the wonderful Sir David Attenborough by exploring the amazing animals and habitats he has taught the world so much about.

Thirteen days ago, Bonnie brought in a selection of eggs for us to observe. We borrowed an incubator from Paul and marked each egg with a small red dot so we could easily see when they had been rotated.

This morning, the whole nursery climbed back aboard the tractor trailer and set off to visit Farmer Jake at Park Farm as part of our new topic on farm animals. The journey up the hill was very bumpy, which made it all the more exciting!
