Pre-school have been reading the story 'Oliver's Fruit Salad' and then decided to make their own fruit salad using locally sourced produce. They carefully chopped the fruits, talking about which fruit was their favourite. They enjoyed eating it for their morning snack... delicious!
Later in the morning, pre school walked to the kitchen gardens and helped Harry the gardener harvest potatoes. They enjoyed digging in the soil to see how many potatoes they could find, and were surprised to see the different variations in shape and size. They talked about the book 'Oliver's Vegetables' and how Oliver had made chips from his potatoes.
Toddlers have been busy collecting more apples from the orchard, and this morning have been using the juicer to make their own apple juice, to have with their snack.
